FAQ

Questions, answered.

How often are fire door inspections required?

It’s recommended that fire doors are inspected every 6 to 12 months, depending on usage and risk. In high-traffic buildings, more frequent checks, such as quarterly visual inspections, may be needed.

Which doors need inspecting?

All fire doors that form part of your building’s fire strategy: communal and escape route doors, stairwell and corridor doors, plant room and riser doors, and flat entrance doors that open onto shared corridors or stairwells.

Who is responsible for fire door compliance?

The legal duty usually falls to the Responsible Person, often the property owner, facilities manager or managing agent, who must make sure fire doors are properly inspected and maintained.

Why don’t you do remedial works?

So our reports stay 100% impartial. We have no reason to fail a door that’s fine, and you’re free to get competing quotes from any contractor.

How quickly are reports delivered?

In as little as 48 hours after the inspection, sent electronically. Every door has its own photos, location and a clear pass or fail.
